Sharon Mowen

Sharon Mowen has over 25 years of experience in custom qualitative and quantitative market research, both domestic and global.  She is known for her thorough, strategically-focused research and analysis, with an ability to translate complex information into practical, actionable solutions for clients. As a long-standing healthcare industry professional, Sharon has worked with a variety of clients including major pharmaceutical companies, private consulting firms, ad agencies, and medical device firms.  Her experience encompasses most treatment areas, as well as other healthcare-related arenas including market access, product packaging/delivery systems, pharmacy logistics/dispensing, OTC products, and patient care programs. While specialized in the healthcare industry, Sharon also has experience in the areas of consumer and governmental research.

Prior to joining HawkPartners, Sharon was a Vice President at Double Helix, an independent healthcare consultancy headquartered in London, with offices in the US and Singapore.  Previously, Sharon ran her own successful market research practice for over 15 years, providing strategic services to a variety of clients.  During her career, she also was a Principal at MSP Analytics, a Senior Manager at Medical Marketing Group (then a division of Merck/Medco), and a Senior Director at National Analysts (then a division of Booz, Allen & Hamilton).

When not working or spending time with her 2 daughters, Sharon enjoys playing the piano and attending small-venue concerts, or renovating her beloved 150-year-old home in Bucks County.  A self-professed adrenaline junkie, Sharon also can be found throughout the year either on the mountains, roads, or underwater, where she enjoys skiing, cycling, running, and scuba diving.

Sharon holds a BA with dual honors in English and Psychology from Bucknell University, and a PhD from the University of Exeter, England, in organizational psychology, with a specialization in motivation assessment.
