
Lara James is a visionary but practical marketing leader with deep experience across both commercial and nonprofit sectors. She is dedicated to helping organizations identify their distinctive strengths and craft strategies to help them achieve sustainable growth in sectors as diverse as financial services and education.
She has a depth of experience across marketing disciplines with a deep expertise in brand strategy and implementation. Over her career, Lara has substantially grown brand awareness, increased brand consideration and expanded brand loyalty to achieve industry leading customer growth. Lara has a special enthusiasm for supporting organizations in developing and launching new products and in identifying and reaching new customer segments. Whether small business owners, millennial investors, or secondary educators – she has launched successful new products that have attracted new audiences and enhanced brand preference.
In her role at HawkPartners, Lara leverages data and analytics to drive customer growth by crafting brand and marketing strategies to reach and convert the optimal customers.
Before becoming a HawkPartners Advisor, Lara served as Chief Officer, Marketing & Communications for Facing History & Ourselves. In prior roles she was a senior marketing executive for leading financial services brands and a Principal at a predecessor to Oliver Wyman.Tony brings a deep passion for action, impact, and organizational effectiveness to his work with leaders, teams and organizations. In both his internally and externally facing roles, Tony’s work has focused on firm-level strategy, market analytics, organizational alignment, and leadership development. Over his consulting career, Tony has worn many hats, including serving as interim head of marketing for a leading hospital, a Fortune 500 data storage firm, and the e-health unit of a major health plan. Tony’s marketing consulting career has spanned nearly 40 years: twelve with Mercer Management Consulting, twelve with Sherbrooke Partners, and fifteen with HawkPartners (eight of those as Managing Partner). Tony retired from HawkPartners in February of 2024.
